BLANCO NEGRO BARCELONA
BLANCO NEGRO BARCELONA brings together the work of ITS A MOOD, ROBERT POUS and JUSTINO DEL CASAR in an exhibition of collectible design and contemporary art in black and white.
The absence of color shifts attention toward what remains and material become more present.
White forms absorb and reflect the changing light of the space, while the black works create points of density and contrast throughout the curation.
Rather than presenting three practices independently, the exhibition places them in direct relation to one another.
ART IN BLACK AND WHITE
ITS A MOOD presents six selected works from its CURVAS Collection at BLANCONEGRO Barcelona, alongside artists Robert Pous and Justino del CAsar.
The exhibition creates a dialogue between the sculptural forms and handcrafted microcement surfaces of ITS A MOOD, the expressive papier-mâché sculptures of Justino del César, and the paintings of Robert Pous. Working primarily in black and white, each artist approaches material, texture, and form from a different perspective.
Through this contrast, the exhibition highlights how the absence of color allows shape, light, shadow, and materiality to take center stage, bringing together different artistic disciplines within a cohesive yet contrasting environment.
