Curvae takes its character from the freedom of its curves and the relationship between the object and the space it occupies. The design brings together two contrasting geometries. The fluid, asymmetrical tabletop rests on two solid cylindrical columns, creating a balance between movement and stability. The simplicity of the bases allows the curves above to take center stage, while their proportions give the table a grounded, monumental presence.

The making of Curvae begins with the artist freely drawing curves by hand, allowing the lines to develop naturally. These initial drawings are then sketched directly onto wood, where the form gradually takes shape through cutting, sculpting, and sanding until it becomes one uninterrupted line.

The wooden construction is then finished with successive layers of microcement, applied and refined by hand. This mineral-based material gives the table its distinctive stone-like appearance, while the subtle variations in texture reveal the nature of its making. The surface responds to light throughout the day, emphasizing the gentle changes in curvature and the depth of its form.
