Mawjé Chair .

A sculptural chair that combines soft organic curves and balances minimalism and movement. Its curved form takes inspiration from the rhythm of waves.

Mawjé meaning "wave" in Arabic is a nod to the Mediterranean Sea that shapes the coastal landscape of my country.

The curved opening at the base lightens the form. An intentional negative space that contrast's the chair's weight and volume, like the undercurve of a wave about to break.

The structure is hand built, composed of Wood, Plywood, and Micro Cement. It's designed to support the sculptural curves, while providing strength and lightness.
